LIGNA 2019 will be held in Hannover, Germany between May 27 and 31, 2019. It is the world’s largest fair for the wood industry, in which UDT will be presented at a stand together with the companies Neumann and Piso Caminante. It is a unique opportunity to make contact with wood companies and associations around the world.
1,500 exhibitors from more than 50 countries will gather at the Hannover Exhibition Center to show the state of the art in processes, products, applications and cutting-edge technology for the forest and wood industry. 93,000 visitors are expected, which will have 130,000 square meters to “visit the future” of wood-based industries.
Innovations of many companies on a planetary scale will be exhibited. Visitors will be able to see the latest in forest technology, furniture and window manufacturing, tools, surface technology and live demonstrations of fully functional wood processing plants; they will learn about the IoT (Internet of Things) platforms for the 4.0 Industry, the latest R&D challenges, and they will also be able to participate in events for the creation of collaboration networks throughout the fair.
LIGNA 2019 has three main themes: “Integrated carpentry – customized solutions”, “intelligent surfaces technology” and “access to resources and technology”, the latter is also the main theme of the Summit of the Wood Industry, which will be held at the same time as LIGNA.
The Neumann manufacturing company, specializing in drying plants and thermal equipment; Piso Caminante company, engineering and development in transport with self-discharge and feeding accumulators; and UDT/EST that will show its offer of technological products and solutions for the use of byproducts from the forest and wood activity will be presented in Hall 25. Funding was obtained from Corfo and ProChile to support the participation of Chilean companies.
