The Technological Development Unit (UDT) is a research and development center dependent on the Research and Development Directorate of the Universidad de Concepción, which began to function in 1996 as an interface organization between university research and the needs of the national productive sector. Its scope is applied research and development of technological innovations in the field of forest biorefineries.
Among its outreach activities, UDT receives delegations from different institutions such as schools (from 7th grade) and universities. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the activity is carried out telematically.
