A delegation from the Superintendence of Electricity and Fuels (SEC) and the Energy Sustainability Agency (AgenciaSE) made a technical visit to the Technological Development Unit (UDT) of the University of Concepción, in order to learn about the capabilities of the center in the framework of the project on production of aviation fuel (Jet Fuel) from synthetic hydrocarbons derived from plastic waste.

The delegation was composed of Maricel Lavín, Head of the Fuel Engineering Division; Glenda Giménez, Head of the Hydrogen Technical Unit; and the professionals Fabián Olave, Daniela Rojas and Fernanda Novoa, from the SEC, together with Cristóbal Correa, professional of the Clean Flight program of the AgenciaSE.

They were received by Dr. Cristina Segura, UDT project engineer and director of the Biochar Chile program, who led a tour of the Thermochemical Process Room and other facilities relevant to the development of the project.
