The first meeting of Biochar Chile’s Operating Committee was held in order to strengthen internal coordination and give continuity to collaborative work. During the meeting, the structure, functions and objectives of this instance were defined.
The session was attended by Dr. Cristina Segura, director of Biochar Chile; Dr. Mauricio Flores and Prof. Dr. Marco Sandoval, director and alternate director, respectively, of the Biochar NPK fertilizer and Biochar water retaining project; José Fuentes, director of the project for scaling up the thermochemical conversion of biomass and plastics technology; Prof. Dr. Yannay Casas, director of the Biochar Chile study, and Prof. Dr. Yannay Casas, director of the Biochar Chile study. Yannay Casas, director of the sustainability study, together with project engineer Sebastián Larrere Cid; Nelson Zbinden, head of the Communications Unit; Carolina Poblete, head of the Administration Unit; and Camila Berrocal, project engineer of Biochar Chile.
On the occasion, the progress of the Communications Unit was also shared, aimed at positioning the program and disseminating its impacts. Finally, the planning of activities for the coming months was discussed.
