Closing of the Millennium Institutes in Natural and Exact Sciences Competition 2021 ANID

The objective of the call is to promote the development of Chilean frontier research, with high quality and, that achieves impact at national level and also at international level.

This is based on four pillars: internationally competitive research; training of new scientists; formation and maintenance of international collaboration networks; dissemination and transfer of knowledge to other sectors of society.

The reference document will always be the resolution affecting No. 12 of the Comptroller’s Office.

The evaluation and selection of proposals for New and Renewal Institutes will be carried out by the Millennium Program Committee, made up of international experts in different disciplines of the natural and exact sciences, according to the procedures indicated in numbers III. and IV. of the bases.

The application (receipt of written background and annexes) will be carried out entirely through the application platform. No documents or information sent by other means will be accepted.

Each Institute awarded in the area of Natural and Exact Sciences must present a project to be executed with a maximum duration of 120 months, to which a budget of approximately 10,000 million pesos will be assigned, in 10 annual quotas that will depend on budget availability.
