There is an extensive experience in the development of wood-plastic composites, which are manufactured by an extrusion process, in which a thermoplastic polymer is mixed (polypropylene, polyethylene or PVC) with fibers or wood dust. In addition, various additives are incorporated that allow improving the material processing, mechanical properties and their resistance to UV radiation, among others. Wood content is variable, being usual that the proportion varies between 50% and 70% by mass.
