For the third consecutive year, the Technological Development Unit (UDT) of the Universidad de Concepcion opened its doors for students to visit their facilities and share with leading scientists through a program of guided tours.

Cristian Fuentes, communications officer of UDT says that the objective of this initiative is to encourage interest in science and technology in students through direct contact with researchers and class projects, through a visit that will take them by different laboratories and pilot plants at UDT”.

Cristian Fuentes also says that in previous versions of this program we have received annually more than 200 students from the entire region. To be part of this program, those interested should visit the Guided Tour section of the website www.udt.cl and fill out a form.

UDT is an applied R&D center with 15 years of life working on the development of new products from forest biomass, such as biofuels, biomaterials and chemical products, among others.
