Wooden pallets and drawers are used profusely for multiple purposes. After fulfilling their useful life, they become a problem, since they can contain pathogens that make it difficult to recycle the material that composes them.
A heat treatment, implemented within UDT, destroys the insects or microorganisms that the wood may contain; obscures its tone, homogenizing the material in terms of color and appearance; and allows to separate foreign elements, such as nails and staples. The treated wood with high aesthetic appeal is presented in the form of splinters to be used as a decorative element for landscaping.
