Dr. Philip Humprey will visit UDT during the second week of July as part of the “Natural Polymeric Matrices/Natural Fibers Composites” project, funded by CONICYT and developed in collaboration with the French research center, École Nationale Supérieure des Technologies et Industries du Bois.
The American investigator will be responsible for training the team participating in this project in the ABES technical system, Automated Bonding Evaluation System. This technique allows the evaluation of adhesive bonds under different operating conditions obtaining information on their kinetic and dynamic behavior.
In addition, it is intended to make a presentation to companies on July 13.
