The Ibero-American Science and Technology for Development Programme (CYTED), created in 1984 through an inter-institutional framework agreement signed by the countries that make up the Ibero-American Community of Nations, is a multilateral international initiative for scientific and technological cooperation with a Latin American scope and horizontal character.

CYTED’s main objective is to contribute to the harmonious and sustainable development of the Ibero-American region through collaboration and cooperation between the National Science and Technology Organizations (ONCYT), the Innovation Promotion Organizations, the research groups of universities, R&D centers and companies in Ibero-America.

The following participation instrument will be available in this call:

Projects in Strategic Themes (PTE)

These are research and technological development projects between groups in the CYTED countries that are financed both with funds from the programme and with external contributions from the member countries, through their ONCYTs. The proposals must be relevant from the research and innovation points of view, with a transnational character and a maximum duration of three years.

The National Agency of Research and Development, ANID, through its Sub-directorate of Networks, Strategy and Knowledge; and the Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development, CYTED, call for national research groups to submit their applications on strategic issues:

  • PTE Line 1.- Emerging pollutants.
  • PTE Line 2.- Forest fires; integrated risk and disaster management; prevention, extinction and restoration.
