We are pleased to announce the Scientific Committee of the 5th Latin American Congress on Biorefineries, which will be held on January 7, 8 and 9, 2019 in the city of Concepción, Chile. It is made up of leading researchers from around the world: https://en.biorrefinerias.cl/organization/.

The Congress will bring together researchers, professionals and experts from the region and the world for 3 days: the plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations, as well as other parallel activities will highlight new processes, biobased products and industrial application opportunities. The thematic areas include:
Production, physical and chemical modification, characterization and applications of: bioplastics and biocomposites; macro, micro and nano cellulose fibers; carbon-based materials and biobased adhesives.
Special Topic: Domestic Solid Waste Processing.
The deadline for submitting papers has been extended to August 15, 2018.
